This version is mix RM10 made just prior and most similar to the RM11 mix found on the earliest US and Canada pressing of the Penny Lane 45 with an extra horn riff overdub in the ending. This was trimmed off before any of the commercial releases were made available. A stereo version was forged for the first time ever on the Beatles Rarities LP using the horn riff ending superimposed on the 1971 German stereo mix that is listed separately in the database. This is the original mono version with the trumpet played by David Mason. Also appears on the Vigotone bootleg CD set Turn Me On Dead Man as track 4 on disc 2, but the pre-song chat is excluded on that account. Track 14 on this CD. Estimated release date known to be in late 2007. |
