The recording date indicates the date the basic track and guide vocal were completed in 35 takes. The master was originally a combination of takes 9, 20 and 32. John and George overdubbed more guitars on April 18, 1969. Hammond organ by Billy Preston and conga drums were overdubbed on April 20, 1969. Synthesizer and wind effect (ie white noise) were added on August 8th, 1969 on the same day they shot the crosswalk cover for Abbey Road. The "She's so heavy" vocals were overdubbed in as an afterthought on August 11, 1969.
